Christianity and Slavery

Dawn preaching on Christianity and Slavery:

‘I have been pushed to see the ways in which I am complicit in systematic and personal racism. And what I realise is this: this is my inheritance from colonialism, this is my story which is built on the backs of slaves. Christ had the potential to be the oppressor: a man, educated, revered, listened to, influence, invited into rooms where the parties of movers and shakers were; yet he does not oppress, he emancipates.’
